Conservation in Action
Learn how our on-the-ground work delivers practical, science-based solutions that conserve wildlife, regenerate ecosystems, and support resilient livelihoods where raw materials are grown and sourced.
REGENERATIVE FUND FOR NATURE®
The fund supports innovative approaches to agricultural production by working with nature, not against it, starting with the fashion industry, to reduce the environmental impact of agriculture while helping local communities thrive.
Wildlife Friendly strengthened its Regenerative Fund for Nature portfolio through flagship initiatives in India cotton, Patagonia merino and mohair, and Caldenal region leather. These multi-year efforts, spanning fiber commercialization, enterprise development, and producer capacity building, are laying the groundwork for scalable, biodiversity-positive supply chains.

Cotton - India
In Central India, Wildlife Friendly is working with WWF India and Srijan to advance regenerative, Wildlife Friendly® cotton production across biodiverse agricultural landscapes. By stewarding regenerative soil management, biological pest control, habitat buffers, and reduced chemical inputs, the project strengthens coexistence in a corridor connecting two critical tiger reserves. Raw cotton is aggregated and marketed through COFE Producer Co. Ltd., linking conservation-aligned production with structured market access. Together, these efforts demonstrate how community-led transition pathways and traceable supply chains can reduce human–wildlife pressures, improve farm resilience, and support the long-term viability of nature-positive fibre production in a globally significant conservation landscape.

Merino, Mohair and Guanaco Fiber - Argentina
In Patagonia, WFEN’s work under the Regenerative Fund for Nature — in partnership with WCS Argentina has helped accelerate regenerative, Wildlife Friendly livestock production at landscape scale. Across more than 300,000 hectares, communities are transitioning toward improved grazing management, coexistence practices such as predator-deterrence systems, and innovative incentive structures that align conservation and carbon outcomes with market demand. Together, these efforts demonstrate how targeted conservation finance, producer transition pathways, and market engagement can reinforce the long-term viability of nature-positive fibre production while delivering measurable biodiversity outcomes.

The Caldenal Ecoregion of La Pampa contains 70% of Argentina’s remaining native caldén forest, a landscape increasingly threatened by shrub encroachment, soil degradation, and high-intensity wildfires. With support from the Regenerative Fund for Nature, WFEN and WCS Argentina are advancing a Regenerative + Wildlife Friendly® livestock model to restore ecosystem health while strengthening rancher livelihoods. By linking regeneratively produced hides and beef to emerging nature-positive markets, the initiative is building a scalable model for climate-resilient, wildlife-compatible rangeland production in Argentina.

Certified Fibers
Where procurement meets conservation.
Certified Regenerative + Wildlife Friendly® natural fibers support biodiversity conservation and ecosystem restoration across the world. From the grasslands of Patagonia to the cotton fields of central India, our certified partners have adopted farming practices that improve soil health, enhance water retention, sequester carbon, and protect key species. By promoting sustainable livelihoods and resilient landscapes, these fibers help communities adapt to climate challenges while conserving wildlife habitats. Reaching market is essential to the long-term success of these projects, and we are seeking brand partners to help create demand for fibers that deliver measurable benefits for both people and nature.
Mohair
Mohair is the fleece of the Angora goat and is one of the world's most beautiful natural fibers; it stands out for its white, silky, and shiny fiber.
Guanaco
Guanaco fiber is suitable for both hand and industrial spinning, with the possibility of developing blends with other natural fibers.
Merino
Merino wool is a natural fiber produced by Merino sheep; it is thinner and softer than regular wool, and offers many benefits thanks to its outstanding characteristics.
Cotton
Softer, more durable, and more sustainable than conventionally grown cotton, offering numerous benefits for both people and the planet.
