Meet Our Team
Christine Lippai
Executive Director
Born in the United Kingdom, Christine has spent her professional life living and working overseas. A zoologist by profession she began her career in Australia and has lived and worked extensively in Africa, including in Madagascar, the Seychelles, Zimbabwe, and South Africa, where she has a home.
She is interested professionally in the interface between conservation and community livelihoods and has worked over her career to support the development of conservation-enabling natural resource supply chains that seek to create income generating activities built upon conservation.
Whilst living in Madagascar, Christine ran an NGO working with forest communities to produce essential oils that provided the triple bottom line of conservation of forest landscapes, building economic incentives through a solid link between the local communities and the private sector, and improving local livelihoods. She has also worked with and provided advice on sustainable sourcing for the luxury fashion industry.
Given her extensive experience in Conservation & Sustainable Development, Christine is expanding and bolstering Wildlife Friendly’s impact on biodiversity conservation through enterprise development.
Violette Toffier
Senior Program and Strategy Consultant
Since joining Wildlife Friendly in 2024, Violette has worked across the operational and strategic development of the organization, supporting certification processes, program delivery, producer engagement, traceability and partnerships with brands and other market actors. Her work focuses particularly on textiles, livestock-derived materials and regenerative production systems that create value for biodiversity, rural livelihoods and coexistence with wildlife.
In her current role, Violette works across Wildlife Friendly’s certification, advisory and market-development activities, with a particular focus on strengthening the systems and partnerships that support wildlife-positive supply chains. She has contributed to initiatives in India, Argentina, Botswana and beyond, helping link producers using regenerative and Wildlife Friendly practices with responsible sourcing opportunities while supporting the organization’s wider strategic development and growth.
With a background in circularity, sustainable design and environmental regulation from University College London, Violette is committed to turning sustainability commitments into tangible action, building supply chains that support healthy landscapes, thriving wildlife and resilient communities.
Rebecca Redmayne
Summer Intern
Becky joins Wildlife Friendly this summer as a Business Development and Operations Intern. Entering her final year of the BASc Arts and Sciences programme at University College London, she brings a strong interest in biodiversity, climate science and science communication.
Keen to build practical experience in sustainability and conservation, Becky will support the team across business development, operations and communications, while learning more about the links between healthy ecosystems, local livelihoods and responsible enterprise.
Fun fact: Becky has played the oboe for 12 years and performs with the UCL Symphony Orchestra.
Vernon Allott
Summer Intern
Having recently completed his studies in Biological Natural Sciences at the University of Cambridge in the UK, Vernon joins Wildlife Friendly as a summer intern with a strong interest in conservation and sustainable development. Through his academic studies and research experience, he has developed a particular interest in the role of both economic and environmental approaches to address complex environmental challenges.
Prior to joining Wildlife Friendly, Vernon completed an internship with Professor Jon Hutton, former Chief Conservation Officer at WWF International, supporting the development of the WWF African Regional Strategic Framework (2026–2030). Through this work, he analyzed conservation data from across the region and gained valuable insight into the challenges of balancing biodiversity conservation, sustainable development, and policy priorities on an international scale.
At Wildlife Friendly, Vernon will be supporting the Jaguar Friendly™ program, exploring how coffee and cacao value chains can help create positive outcomes for both wildlife and local communities. He is particularly passionate about understanding how market-based approaches can support conservation efforts while creating sustainable economic opportunities for producers living alongside wildlife.
Sheillah Munsabe
Volunteer
Sheillah Munsabe completed a Master’s in Environmental Sustainability from O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs, Indiana University Bloomington, and holds a Bachelor’s in International Business and Trade from the African Leadership University (ALU), where she was a Conservation Scholar at ALU’s School of Wildlife Conservation. Sheillah is passionate about merging environmental sustainability with business needs to create innovative solutions that advance environmental management and conservation efforts, and foster sustainable development.
Sheillah is an environmental enthusiast with proven expertise in creating and implementing impactful community conservation projects, sustainable practices and research. She has worked with environmental organisations such as International Gorilla Conservation Program, Earthmind, Singita Luxury African Safari Lodges & Reserves, and Kibale Forests Schools’ Program. Her work in conservation has been recognised by The Matriarchs, ALU School of Wildlife Conservation, UN Millennium Fellowship, Stories of Africa and The Sustainability Challenge.
Sheillah’s ambition is to help build a world where society prioritizes the conservation of nature for future generations – a world where both people and nature can thrive. She is passionate about the beauty of nature and enjoys amateur photography.
Sheillah brings to WFEN her first-hand experience working with community enterprises and is ideally skilled to provide key inputs to develop the Gorilla Friendly Program, including building out the Park Edge Community Products certification.
