Virunga Mountains, Rwanda, Uganda, and Republic of Congo

Gorillas are highly vulnerable to disease transmission, armed conflict, poaching, the illegal trade in live infants, and habitat degradation. A significant rise in gorilla tourism has also increased the amount of human influences on the gorilla population.
